How Bad Could It Be?

Have you ever been crazy enough to utter the words "How bad could it be"? We started the big undertaking of replacing the roof of the building, we knew it was in bad shape with the number of patches that were patched on top of patches. Nevertheless, when the roofer was leaving for the day we asked if he could send photos of what the under decking looked like. We were hoping we could find out exactly why water poured into the ceiling when it rained.

How bad could it be we thought. We expected if we were lucky, to see a hole here, or a rotted board there. Nothing could have prepared us for the photos we received! Thanks God we chose to get the entire roof replaced and not simply install a new on onon top of all of this!
